Welcome to UP / Unique Products, the creative endeavor of recycling artists Mark Kirk and Heather Macfarlane. Located in New Orleans since fall 1999, UP is an environmentally friendly retail gallery providing green themed home decor, accessories and lighting to a new and ever renewing New Orleans and beyond. Every item is individually designed and handmade by the artists . UP is committed to eco education and helping bring sustainable ideas and designs to a city in the throws of rebirth since the environmental devastation of Hurricane Katrina, as well as helping their customers create a more socially responsible environment to live and work in.

The image of our state bird in hand silk-screened onto scrap roofing tin/ metal, this image is taken from a rubbing of the LA state bird tearing her own flesh to feed her young. the rubbing is from the D. Each of these soaps are locally made with homegrown organic ingrediants such as mirlitons, sage and lime and built via a cold press method by Sweet Olive Soapworks. UP then felts arround the soaps with organic dyed merino fleece to create a soap washcloth combo which when used just felts even more! Evenually once the soap is gone you will be left with a pocket of felt which can be cut open to make a phone case or pouch .. Great for your travel bag or as a hostess gift.
